I had chosen a birch branch which a friend cut into slices for me. Over a period of weeks, I peeled the bark off each disc and smoothed the edges. Then I carved each rune into the surface using a palm chisel. I donated blood regularly during this extended rutual period. I also had amazing encounters during this same period with several spirits.
